Substance Abuse Policy Statement
Staffing Priorities is committed to providing a safe work environment and to fostering the well being and health of its employees. That commitment is jeopardized when any Staffing Priorities employee illegally uses drugs on or off the job, comes to work under the influence, possesses, distributes, or sells drugs in the workplace, or abuses alcohol on the job.
I. PRE-EMPOLYMENT DRUG TESTING AND RELEASE:
I understand that my employment with Staffing Priorities will be contingent upon negative results of an illegal substance test administered by a screening service to be selected by Staffing Priorities. Testing can be conducted at random or post accident in which negative results are required for continued employment.
II. UNEMPLOYMENT LAW:
Staffing Priorities complies with State and Federal unemployment laws and benefits if an assignment ends, or the employee leaves an assignment, and does not notify the temporary service they are available for another assignment. You must call us regarding your availability on assignments.
III. SEXUAL HARASSMENT:
Staffing Priorities is committed to providing a work environment free of sexual harassment. Sexual harassment within the company or while on a customer's premises or job site is prohibited. In order to protect employees from harassment, any incident should be reported as soon as possible to the Branch Manager or another member of Staffing Priorities, management.
IV. SAFETY POLICY:
As an employee of Staffing Priorities it is your responsibility to follow safe work practices and use required safety equipment. You are also required to follow the guidelines set-forth by the company you are assigned to with regards to attending all training and safety meetings. You may also be required to provide various certifications or perform required readings. Failing to follow company guidelines or use proper safe work practices can lead to termination of assignment or employment with Staffing Priorities. If you are on an unsafe assignment and if you witness any unsafe acts please contact your local Staffing Priorities manager.
V. TERMS OF ASSIGNMENT LENGTH:
I understand that Staffing Priorities is a staffing service providing both temporary and permanent jobs. The length of a temporary assignment may range from 4 hours to long term, while a permanent position may be offered any time after 26 weeks or 1040 hours of employment. Staffing Priorities has no guarantee of assignment based on client's change of order. I also understand that my continued attendance and performance can affect the length of my assignment.
